VERS SOLITAIRE is an audio walk that takes us to the heart of downtown. This play for a single audience member invites us to think about our relationship to consumerism and other people, at a time when we’re all “social distancing”.
The solo audience member is invited to follow the “host”, a nameless person walking two meters ahead of them. Thanks to an audio device, the spectator is able to listen in on this stranger's obsessive thoughts as they follow them through the city streets.
Traffic, passers-by, Montréal shops…everything eventually transforms into a scene in a play.
VERS
I collect art and place it in the heart of downtown
art that I love spreading around
it’s awesome
I love the arts
like a worldwide whine
a continuous coping mechanism
information I’ve just heard
how I love to wear you like a
comfy sweater
